KAD is a filterlist that protects against various threats on the Polish network, such as SMS subscriptions, viruses and fake shops.
Their installation is very simple and fast.
If you already have uBlock Origin or AdGuard extension installed for your favourite browser, then you only need to click the button below.
However, if your web browser doesn’t support such extensions, then you can use a special variation (hosts, etc.) of the filter list for other software.
We regularly analyse submissions from our community, but also rely on external lists created by teams such as CERT Poland, legalniewsieci.pl and KNF.
In addition to an extensive and ever-growing list of junk sites, these filters also have a list of “redirect pages”, making blocking even better. Every junk page found/reported is checked carefully, together with the source code, as all sorts of tricks can be found on it which, for example, hide its real address. KAD deals with this by blocking the original site as well as the “redirecting” one, making blocking more effective.
Although subscribing KAD along with other protection filters makes for a great whole, it doesn’t in any way mean 100% protection, because there is no such thing. Remember to use common sense when browsing the web - check website addresses and read the terms and conditions of suspicious sites, especially those that offer something “for free”.
uBlock Origin or AdGuard extension, which supports external filterlists and direct blocking of websites is required for KAD to function correctly.

KADhosts supplement for Pi-hole.
For proper operation, don’t download it yourself, but download Regex Hosts Installer for Pi-hole, and then run it with lists URL as its parameter, i.e. path_to_installer/RLI_for_Pi-hole.py https://raw.githubusercontent.com/FiltersHeroes/KADhosts/master/KADhole.txt
. Updates should also be performed similarly. You can of course add this script to cron for automatic updating from time to time.
Some DNSs use our KAD lists in hosts and domain format and can be used alternatively (e.g. on mobile devices). These include:
Filters that hide and block pop-ups, widgets, newsletters, push notifications, arrows and other irritating elements on Polish websites (Polish GDPR-Cookies Filters are already included).
